Luckily, she received a call from director Li Shaohong far in Beijing. Zhao Wenxuan, the chief actor of Thunderstorm, recommended to Li Shaohong to sing the theme song. Cai Qin said that at that time, she recorded for more than over 100 times before she mailed the small sample to Li Shaohong. Later she waited for two weeks before a good news came eventually. Today when she sang this song, she was still full of gratitude.

In addition to a valley in career, Cai Qin in this stage also encountered a valley in life. In 1992, her father died. In 1996, she was also included in a “black list” in marriage.
